       1 lb Ground lamb or beef
       2 tb Water
       1 tb Lemon Juice
       1 ts Salt
     1/2 ts Ground Cumin
     1/2 ts Dried Oregano Leaves
     1/4 ts Pepper
       2 cl Garlic; crush
       1 sm Onion; chop
       2 tb Vegetable Oil
       4    6 pita breads
       2 c  Lettuce; shred
            SAUCE
     1/2 c  Plain Yogurt
       1 tb Fresh mint; snip, or
       1 ts Dried Mint Leaves
       1 ts Sugar
       1 sm Cucumber; seed, chop
       1 md Tomato; chop
  
   Mix lamb, water, lemon juice, salt, cumin, oregano,
   pepper, garlic and onion. Shape into 4 thin patties.
   Cook patties in oil over med. heat, turning
   frequently, until done, 10-12 minutes. Split each
   bread halfway around edge w/ knife; separate to form
   pocket. Place patty in each pocket; top w/ lettuce.
   SAUCE-Mix yogurt, snipped mint and sugar; stir in
   cucumber. Spoon onto lettuce; top w/tomato. 505 cal/.
