      title: pickled jalapeno slices
 categories: mexican, relish
   servings: 1
       5 c  jalapeno chile
       1 t  garlic
       1 c  white vinegar
       1 c  sugar
     1/2 t  salt
 simmer chiles in boiling water for 5-7 minutes, until tender drain well 
 combine with remaining ingredients in sterile jar 
 cover and shake to mix well 
 chill for 7 days
 serve slightly chilled or at room temperature
