      1/4  cup           butter
    1      lb            fresh mushrooms -- sliced
    2      cloves        garlic -- minced
    2      teaspoons     marjoram
    1      cup           chicken broth
      1/4  cup           dry white wine
                         black pepper -- to taste
 
 Saute garlic and mushrooms in butter over medium heat until garlic is soft.
  Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer 15-20
 minutes.
