MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
       Title: Dr. Digit’s Rebecca’s Ground Beef Casserole

       Yield: 6 Servings
       8 oz Noodles, medium width
       2 lb Beef, hamburger grind
       4 tb Butter
       2 ts Salt
     1/4 ts Pepper
     3/4 ts Garlic powder, make it gar-
      24 oz Tomato sauce or add some
            Chopped tomatoes too
       2 c  Cottage cheese
            2 1/2 c  Sour cream
       2    Bunches scallions, chopped
            Shredded cheddar cheese
       2 c  Cabbage, barely cooked
       1    Ovenproof casserole large
            Enough to hold comfortably
   Preheat oven to 350 deg. Cook noodles according to directions on
   package, drain. Lightly brown meat in butter. Pour off excess fat.
   Add salt, pepper, and garlic salt. Add tomato sauce and optional
   chopped tomatoes. Simmer over medium heat for a few minutes. In a
   separate bowl, mix cottage cheese, sour cream, scallions, cabbage and
   noodles. Butter the casserole, and alternate layers, starting with
   noodles, then tomato sauce/beef mix. Finish with meat layer, sprinkle
   shredded cheddar cheese on top. Cook for 30- 45 mins until contents
   are hot and bubbly. Serve hot.
   This dish freezes well.
