                   Beef Steak Tomatoes With Garden Herbs

    4                    green onions -- finely chopped
    1      clove         garlic -- minced
    1      teaspoon      hot chili pepper -- minced

    2      tablespoons   fresh lemon juice
    3      tablespoons   olive oil
      1/2  cup           plain low-fat yogurt
                         salt and pepper
      1/2  cup           fresh herbs -- (parsley,chives, 
                          -- basil, marjoram etc
    4                    tomatoes -- (beefsteak)
    1                    sweet onion -- sliced
 
 Combine green onion, garlic, chilies and lemon juice. Beat in olive oil and yog
 urt gradually. Add salt and pepper. Finely chop herbs and add. This may be done
  in a food processor or blender. Refrigerate. Serve over sliced tomatoes and on
 ions.
