                                 MEAT LOAF

   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    1      LB            ground beef
    1                    egg -- beaten
    1      cup           corn flakes
    1      cup           tomato juice
      1/2  lb            ground pork
    1      cup           bread crumbs -- softened in milk
    1      cup           milk
    1      medium        onion -- chopped
    2      slices        bacon
 
 Mis the above ingredients.  Form into a loaf.  Place in pan, top with bacon
 slices, pour extra cup of tomato juice over top.  Bake 350 for 1 to 1 1/2
 hours.

 NOTES : For creole sauce, remove loaf to platter and add fresh or frozen peas
 to the sauce and cook until tender.
