                             Hungarian Goulash

    4      pounds        beef stew meat -- cut in 2 cubes
    4      tablespoons   fat
                         salt, pepper and paprika -- to taste
    4      cloves        garlic -- minced
    2      cans          tomato paste
    1      cup           water
    8      whole         allspice cloves
   12      large         potatoes -- peeled and quartered
 
 Brown stew meat in fat. Season with salt, pepper and paprika. 
 Mix together garlic, tomato paste, water and cloves. Add to beef.
 
 Simmer covered about 2 hours. Chill quickly and freeze in portions suitable for
  your family. 
 
 To serve:
 Defrost, adjust seasonings and cook 15 minutes. Add 1 potato per serving. Simme
 r an additional 45 minutes, or until tender.
