                           Lemon Verbena Cordial

    2      Lg Handfuls   Verbena Leaves -- tightly grasped
    1      Fifth         Vodka
    1      Cup           Sugar Syrup
 
 Since verbena leaves are quite wiry and springy, it is difficult to get
 an accurate measure.  You have to compress them by grasping tightly. 
 About 3/4 oz should be the right amount if you have a scale.  Let the
 leaves steep in the vodka for one week, shaking the jar occasionally.
 Strin through cheesecloth; be sure to press out any fluid in the leaves. 
 Sweeten with the sugar syrup and you are ready to enjoy.
