    1      Pint          Vodka
    2      Tsp           Crumbled Wormwood
    2      Tsp           Anise Seed
      1/2  Tsp           Fennel Seed
    4                    Cardamom Pods
    1      Tsp           Marjoram Leaves
      1/2  Tsp           Ground Coriander
    2      Tsp           Chopped Angelica Root
    1 2/3  Cups          Sugar Syrup -- *
 
 Place the vodka in a large jar with a tightly fitted top. Add the
 wormwood and shake well.  Let the wormwood steep for 48 hours and then
 strain it out.  Work the fennel and anise seeds and contents of the
 cardamom pods with a motor for a few minutes.  Add these along with the
 marjoram, coriander and angelica to the vodka mixture and shake well. Let
 steep in a warm but not hot place for one week.  Filter the contents
 through cheesecloth.  Add the sugar syrup.
 
 *Wormwood is extremely bitter and I would add more sugar syrup.  I also
 wouldn't steep the wormwood for as long as 48 hours.  It really is very
 bitter and obnoxious.
