                   Angelica Liqueur 1 (Yellow Chartreuse)

    1 1/2  Tsp           Chopped Angelica Root
    3      Tsp           Lemon Balm
    3      Tsp           Hyssop
    1      3 Inch Stick  Cinnamon
      1/4  Tsp Scant     Mace
    1      Fifth         Vodka
    1      Cup           Sugar Syrup
           Pinch         Saffron -- op
 
 Combine all ingredients except the sugar syrup and saffron in a large
 jar; close tightly and shake well.  Let the ingredients steep for one
 week.  Filter through cheesecloth several times.  Add the sugar syrup and
 saffron if using and bottle.  You may use yellow food coloring - the
 saffron is just for color.
