      Title: Chocolate Oatmeal Cake

      Yield: 1 servings
 
      1 c  Oatmeal
  1 1/2 c  Boiling water
    1/2 c  Shortening
      2 c  Sugar
    1/2 c  Cocoa
      2    Eggs; beaten
      1 c  Flour
    1/2 ts Salt
      1 ts Soda
      1 ts Vanilla
    1/2 c  Chopped nuts
      6 oz Mini chocolate chips
 
  Pour boiling water over oatmeal in large mixing bowl and
  let stand for 5-10 minutes.  Cream together shortening,
  sugar and cocoa and mix in bowl with oatmeal mixture.  Stir
  in beaten eggs.  Mix together flour, salt and soda and stir
  in.  Stir in vanilla.
  Pour into greased and floured 9x13" pan.  Sprinkle with
  chopped nuts and mini chocolate chips.  Bake at 350 degrees
  for about 35 minutes.
